When you have a loved one on hospice, needs can arise at any time of day or night. This is why Grane Hospice has staff on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No matter the day or time, we always have someone available to take calls to answer your questions or to come see the patient if there is a change in their condition.
Since we cannot physically be with our patients and their families 24/7, we train caregivers on the best ways to care for the patient when we are not there. This can include demonstrating the safest way to transfer the patient from their chair to bed or how to administer medication. We also educate caregivers on the side effects of pain medicine and how to help with symptoms like trouble breathing or restlessness and agitation.
At Grane Hospice, we know the importance of truly being there for our patients so we have staff available to take your call, day or night. And when we are not with you, we will be sure you have the knowledge and training you need to safely and effectively care for your loved one. Watch below to see Chelsea Finley, CNA demonstrate just one example of how we do this.
It is our mission to provide the best care possible to our patients and their families, and we hope you find comfort in knowing that we are here for you- whenever you need us.
