"Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all."
Every year, we honor nurses during Nurse Appreciation Week. This year, it is especially important to commend not only the nurses at Grane Hospice Care, but all nurses who go above and beyond each day to ensure that their patients receive compassionate and individualized care. 2020 has brought devastation to the entire world. Without fear, without hesitation, nurses rise to the occasion to serve their patients—even in the middle of a global pandemic.
Early in 2019, the World Health Organization announced that 2020 – the 200th anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth – would be known as the Year of the Nurse. This could not be more fitting given nurses’ continuous display of extraordinary dedication and selflessness during the difficult circumstances we have faced thus far and continue to face this year. It takes a special person to be a nurse. It requires a unique balance of compassion and strength that not everyone can possess. Nurses, we are forever grateful for all that you do- today and every day.
We are honored to have a dedicated team of amazing nurses at Grane Hospice Care. It is a privilege to have you on our team and your actions do not go unnoticed. Thank you for all that you do to keep our communities safe, loved, and well cared for.
